Dominica Republic Yacht Charter
The Dominican Republic is a country in Caribbean that occupies the eastern two-thirds of the Caribbean island of Hispaniola. The western one-third of Hispaniola is occupied by the country of Haiti. To the north lies the North Atlantic Ocean, while the Caribbean Sea lies to the south.
There are many small offshore islands and cays that are part of the Dominican territory. The two largest islands near shore are Saona Island in the southeast and Beata Island in the southwest.
The Dominican Republic is defined by its hundreds of miles of coastline, some with white-sand beaches shaded by rows of palm trees, other parts lined impressively with rocky cliffs. The sea is the common denominator across fishing villages, where the shoreline is used for mooring boats, indulgent tourist playgrounds, small cities such as Santo Domingo – the Caribbean’s largest and the site of New World firsts. Dominica Republic featuring astounding nature, intriguing history and rich culture is definitely a destination like no other.
