Jamaica Yacht Charter
Jamaica is an island country comprising the fifth-largest island country in the Caribbean Sea and the third-largest island of the Greater Antilles. The island is about 10,990 square kilometres, 145 kilometres south of Cuba and 191 kilometres west of Hispaniola.
The most populous English-speaking island in that region, Jamaica is home to the Blue Mountains inland, and is surrounded by a narrow coastal plain.
Most major towns and cities are located on the coast. Chief towns and cities include the capital Kingston, Portmore, Spanish Town, Mandeville, Ocho Rios, Port Antonio, and Montego Bay. Due to the relentless exposure, Jamaica is the Caribbean island many know best. There is almost no one who hasn’t heard Bob Marley sing or seen Usain Bolt run in Jamaica.
Long white beaches twinned with steep green mountains, relaxed resorts and adrenaline-charged ghettoes, sweet reggae and slack dancehall are a few of Jamaica main characteristics. The climate and weather is typically Caribbean mostly tropical. In the winter months it’s a little cooler. The rainy season begins in May or June and extends through November or December with the heaviest rains in September and October.
